| 1)consultation models and practising skills was very useful 2)knowing the developments in diabetes world and latest guidelines was helpful | would like to know about diabetes from primary care point of view(ie at what Bm's to start rx, when to refer to secondary care, can we initiate glitazones, insulin etc as GP's etc.,) | ||||||||
| Consultation skills session was well structured and very useful. Presentations from benedict and nambi were both relevant to gp trainees and useful. good to hear about updates in diabetes | maybe more on GP's management of type 2 diabetes | ||||||||
| Confidentiality issue update Love the consultation models Learnt a lot from the consultation practice | more consultation practices | none | |||||||
| 1) Consultation skills workshop was very good 2) Bendict lecture on Confidentiality was good 3) Dr Bodmer review about Type 2 diabtes- presentation was extremely good. He gave all the evidence available for diff medications and went through UKPDS and DCCT and NICE guidlines. | |||||||||
| I learnt about using screening questions to elicit a full list of patient problems. I learnt about some of the considerations when starting type II diabetics on insulin. | Lunch break was a bit long | More consultation skills please | |||||||
| Consultation skills workshop was very useful indeed. Minor illness and confidentiality presentations relevant and informative. Good review of diabetes and latest management. | Further consultation skills practice in future sessions. | ||||||||
| Very good session on consultation skills. Also useful tips from the Diabetes lecture | |||||||||
| DM talk could have been more GP orientated, but second half and Q&A very interesting. | Although some role played consultations are good exam practice I don't think increasing the amount of time spent on this would be particularly helpful, surely a lot of consultation skills etc are covered by clinical supervision/COTs etc. (although I appreciate that in hospital posts this can be a little lacking). | ||||||||
| 1) Bodmer talk was very useful 2) As ST1 in GP i found the consulttaion skills really good | |||||||||
| Dr.Bodmers talk was useful highlighting the new therapies | |||||||||
| Really enjoyed the morning session on Consultation Introduction practice - have since tried out the things we learnt when seeing my own patients and found it really helpful. Also nice lunch! | Afternoon session was a bit long - maybe a scheduled coffee break would have been good | ||||||||
