How useful? Has it changed your thinking? Something you've learned? How useful? Has it changed your thinking? Something you've learned? How useful? Has it changed your thinking? Something you've learned? Can you suggest any other improvements?
Very good cases. Constipation case good and with useful handout. Liked having a telephone consultation to tie in with later teaching. Very relevant talk- particularly as an ST3. Should be a regular slot.
4 4 I never knew there was so much to learn about constipation... 3 2 Subtle differences between employed/self employed status. 3 4 Some more elegant ways of getting out of clinically not required home visits. 1. Get some tapes from Harmoni of real OOH telephone consults to analyse - especially those resulting in significant events (good or bad). 2. A little less time for the accountant - although the content was good she did go on a bit.
5 4 Learnt the management of constipation in children (increasing sachets of movicol /- lactulose). Also Alternative migraine prophylaxis treatments (eg amytriptiline 25mg on, sodium valproate, beta blockers - but not in asthma! 5 4 Didn't know much about the differences between being employed and self employed before this session. For example, you can claim more tax back if you are self employed for items such as mobile phone/car finance. 5 5 Prior to this I had only observed telephone consultations and didn't have much of a structure in mind. The 7 point structure given in the handout was really useful. Also useful tips such as asking the caller to describe the patient's colour/breathing rate.
4 5 Useful CSA cases. To eliminate the word 'quick' from any consultations 4 4 good to know the dfferences between employed and self employed, the tax codes and the claims 4 4 Wth no previous experience in telephone consulting the handout will be most useful none
4 4 All the cases were relevant to CSA exams. Learnt today about migraine and medications used for prophylaxis. 2)Telephone consultation case was very good case to practice. 5 5 Very good presentation - I found it very useful. Learnt about different tax codes and how to make claim on subscriptios 4 4 Very good sessions and the case scenarios were relevant to CSA.The hand out was very useful. 1) To invite Lizzie LLoyd every year and talk about tax and other financial issues. 2) Giving feedback to your own colleagues is difficult. Would it be possible for the Trainers to sit with the group and give feedback please. It will help trainees to learn how to give a constructive feedback. please continue to have CSA and telphone consultation in all VTS teaching sessions - will help trainees to gain confidence and pass CSA.
4 4 Good practice for the CSA.Cases selected were relevant 4 4 Found a lot about taxes ,exemption.good speaker kept us engaged 5 5 7 point structure to tel consultation was good. Would defenitaley like to do more of those Need to have more CSA sessions
4 4 It is very important we get the exposure to the CSA at early stage. Questuions were very useful. 4 5 This was very useful since we do not have much knowledge on this area. 4 3 Having some sessions on areas like finace/pension will be useful.
learnt how to deal with the cases involving the confidentiality. I very much appreciate Andrews feed back. NOT TO SAY I WILL DO A QUICK EXAMINATION. Learnt about the 5 types of tax. Basic principles of telephone consultations. Well done. Nice approach. none
3 4 confidentiality is to be respected when consulting on the phone 5 5 very useful session especially when you get to the end of ST3 4 very useful session providing a systematic way of approaching a telephone consultation
5 4 CSA stations were very intersting. Topics nicely selected. Very good variety. 4 4 It was nice to know about the different types of Taxes and how they affect us. 5 4 I learnt How to do a confidential telephone consultation. It was very nively organised We should give a very special thank to Kat and Tom for their presentation. It was very helpful. Wish both of them good luck!!
5 4 not to do a quick examn
4 4 Don't say you will do a 'quick' examination! 3 2 What money can be claimed back.
4 4 To read the question properly - our group ended up doing a telephone consultation for a scenario that wasnt actually meant to be one!!! Also i need to learn more about what laxatives can be used in children and what dose 5 5 I remember this session from last year and yet this year it was still as interesting and informative - definitely keep lizzy's session once a year. It did become slightly annoying when other trainees were interrupting her and i think many people became frustrated on her behalf.
n/a n/a 4 4 I have learnt a method of approaching telephone consultations If the start time for the afternoon session is changed, could you please email us before the day so those of us who can only make the afternoon get there on time
4 4 CSA practice was very useful. Topics were interesting. 4 4 I can claim for tax relCSA practice was very useful 5 5 Telephone consultation hand out was very useful, simple and easy to follow. Selection of CSA topics could be suggested by other trainees in order to avoid repition and to cover the curriculum in better way.
4 4 Interesting cases with good variety of cases. 4 4 Nice presentation with a lot of information about taxes and claims. 5 5 Very useful session, especially the 7 points structure of a telephone consultation.
5 4 Really useful session on telephone consulting. I find this one of the most difficult areas of general practice. & point structured model was helpful. I hadn't really thought of asking the caller to perform some of the examination for you. I would like more sessions on telephone consulting. It might make the session a bit more structured if the scenarios were a bit more detailed and padded out - I have very loimited acting skills after all!
