| Brian Balmer talk very useful re medical politics and future jobs. Good presentation on palliative care issues. Value on non judgemental feedback. | Perhaps a further session about jobs after registrar year and how to go abouts/ when to start looking an applying. Pros and cons of different types of job. | ||||||||
| First session on sick note etc was very useful. That gave me an idea about type of letters a GP would get. | I think having 10 -15 min every session dedicate to a letter/administrative problem faced by GP (can be presented by ST3 or TRainers with their experience) will be a good idea since this area can be very difficult for a new GP. | ||||||||
| Useful to go through examples of GP admin as we are often less involved with this side of GP work. Good review of analgesia. | Practice cases to decide which sick note etc we would give. | ||||||||
| Brian Balmer talk was really good and informative. Had an oppotunity to learn about LMC and its valuable role in essex. Wendy's talk was also very useful and informative. learnt about Med7 and maternity certificate. need to have this every year at the begining. | |||||||||
| All the sessions today were very useful and relevant to general practice, specially the forms and analgesic ladder. | |||||||||
| The admin tutorial by Wendy was very useful with practical tips from Wendy and Andrew. Brian Balmer's lecture was entertaining; there is hope to get jobs/partnerships. Yippee! | There seemed to be confusion about opiate doage. Is it worth getting a clearer picture from the specialists? Any thoughts on buddy system; is it being utilised or just names of three people in a group!! | It was nice to go to bowling, so three cheers to the social committee. Well Done & keep it up. | |||||||
| 1. general admin session 2. opiods in terminal care 3. notifiable disease form | I liked the last 10 min chat with collegues...the listening session. would like more of these 10 min sessions. | ||||||||
| Useful, practical sessions-admin side and palliative care presentations. Interesting and engaging talk from Dr Balmer, good to think about the wider political/economic picture. | |||||||||
| Enjoyed the day,was a good session re-political scenario for GP's and job situations. Anwars and sarahs presentations were very good. | Could we have a session from GP/or ex-GP reg re-how to start applying for jobs ,when to start and what to look for in a job please. | ||||||||
| Useful and entertaining talk from Dr Balmer I also enjoyed the talks from the GP STs on Palliative Care and Pain Management, which complemented each other really well and were very relevant | |||||||||
| Helpful to learn about role of LMC as I didn't really have any idea what they did before the talk. Was useful to revise opiate prescribing | |||||||||
